Temporary Work (International Relations) visa in the Australian Agriculture Worker stream

On 23 August 2021, the Australian Government announced the Australian Agriculture Worker (AAW) visa program for primary industry sectors including horticulture, meat processing, dairy, wool, grains, fisheries (including aquaculture), and forestry.

The Australian Agriculture Worker visa programme is industry-driven, scalable to meet stated Australian labour market needs, and open to small primary industry companies. Applicants from countries with which bilateral agreements have been reached will be eligible for the programme.

The Government consulted with the industry on the design of the Australian Agriculture Worker visa program to ensure that the visa arrangement is fit-for-purpose and meets industry needs.

The criteria for the Australian Agriculture Worker stream have been published on 30 September 2021.

You need to have an approved sponsor who has agreed to be your sponsor and is a temporary activities sponsor; and participating, as an employer, in the Australian Agriculture Worker Program administered by Foreign Affairs. Contact us to find out if you can be eligible for this new stream of visa.
